Ride On Mowers

Great For large Areas That Need To be Mowed
For larger sections, lifestyle blocks, formal gardens, or commercial applications.
Do you have too much grass for a push mower? If you have formal lawns around your house, or a long driveway, an orchard, a large area to mow, or even a mix of these, then a ride on mower will probably be the best choice. It can,of course, also help with the amount of time you take to get the job done!
Manual Or Automatic Transmission
There is greater reliability and ease of use with a hydrostatic system
To Collect Or Mulch The Grass Cuttings?
You may want to collect the clippings or to mulch to keep the grass in good condition. Mulching puts finely cut grass back into your lawn to fertilize it. If you have rough or long grass you may need to side discharge it from the mower. Would you like the flexibility of being able to mulch or catch with the same machine?
What Size Mower Is Required
Various combinations of horsepower, and deck size will affect your mowing time. We will always find out what size area and what type of property you have before suggesting which models of ride on mower would be suitable.
How Maneuverable Is The Mower?
If you have difficult turns to make, and obstacles or trees in the way, then a zero turn or out front rider machine may be more suitable.
How Long Will The Machine Last And What Is The Warranty Period?
Most good quality machines should last in excess of 10 years, and good manufacturers offer long warranties, with good support and back up for their dealers. Sometimes an extended warranty is available to cover expensive repairs. Does the Dealer have a local workshop or will it have to go to another company for maintenance or warranty work if required.
Which Brand is Best
There are several really good brands in New Zealand that will offer durability and better resale value than others. We have decided to support Husqvarna and Walker because we believe they are the two top brands of ride on mower covering the domestic, landowner and commercial range. We also know we get strong back up support from these brands.
On Site Demonstration (Try before you buy)
You should be able to have a “no obligation” on site demonstration of the machine. Full instruction on the best use of the mower, and how to carry out day to day maintenance should be provided on the delivery of the machine. Annual servicing costs should be advised, and a collection and delivery service should be available.
